Living on campus is one of the best parts of the residential liberal arts experience at Puget Sound. When you live in one of our residence halls or houses, you’ll be immersed in our community, form new friendships, get involved in events and activities, and build lifelong skills.

The on-campus residential experience is critical to enhancing student learning and success, which is why we require that all students live on-campus for their first two academic years with at Puget Sound. Even after those first two years, many students choose to remain in campus housing to continue to reap the benefits of the residential experience.

To apply for housing, you’ll need to submit your advanced tuition deposit, complete your housing to-do list in your myPugetSound account, and submit an online housing application. Applications received by June 5 will be given priority consideration.

Bed linens, desk lamps, shower shoes, and more. When it comes to moving into campus housing, you want to make sure you’ve got the essentials. We’ve got a complete checklist of what you should pack and what you should leave behind.

Fish make excellent roommates and you’re welcome to bring a pet fish with you to campus. We also support students with service and therapy animals who bring them into campus housing. All service animals must be registered with Residence Life and requests for therapy animals must be made through the Office of Student Accessibility and Accommodation.

The Residence Hall Association is dedicated to enhancing your residential experience through programs such as refrigerator and linen rentals, dances and other social events, hall government, and off-campus excursions around Tacoma and the Puget Sound region.
