The support of an experienced mentor, invested in your growth as a counselor, is important. For this reason, we go to great lengths to make the best placements for you.
We know our mentor counselors well, many of whom are alumni of our program. We intentionally match personalities and counseling styles to create the best learning experiences and opportunities for your growth. Internships begin in the fall and continue into the spring during the second year of your study program. As you progress, you will assume greater levels of professional responsibilities. Throughout the experience, you will meet weekly with an instructor and a small group of your peers to support your continued professional development as a counselor.
