This talk will focus on understanding how trauma is conceptualized by clinical psychologists, discussing what principles should be present in effective trauma treatment, and will provide an overview of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, an evidence-based approach of using narrative to desensitize children to traumatic events.
