Nocturnal Night at the Museum

As we get ready for Halloween, come meet the animals that go "bump" in the night! This Night at the Museum event will feature nocturnal animals from around the world. Get a closer look at the furtive fauna that tend to stay out of our sight, and about special adaptations they have to survive the night.

Kid's Activity - Create your own nocturnal animal mask!

Scavenger Hunt - "Trick or Treat" at our specimen tables and learn more about nocturnal animals around the world.

Specimen Preparation - As always, our Collections Manager will be turning dead animals into museum specimens. You can ask questions and get hands-on with his dissections and preparations. We'll also be talking about how we skeletonize specimens!

Live Animal Guests - Meet some nocturnal animals from the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium up close!

This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in event!

Join us October 29th, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the University of Puget Sound Campus (located at 1500 N Warner St, Tacoma, WA 98416) in Thompson Hall room 295. Please find directions to Thompson Hall here
