Tauvia Eggebroten

Flute and Piano Instructor

Tauvia Eggebroten is a flutist, pianist, vocalist, and conductor. She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching in 2021 and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2020 at the University of Puget Sound, where she studied flute and piccolo under Karla Flygare and Tracy Knoop, and received additional coaching from Francine Peterson.

Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, Tauvia enjoys exploring the outdoors and discovering delicious local food. Tauvia began her musical journey improvising with her family on camping trips, singing with her church choir, playing in band on flute in the classroom and drumline, and being a self-taught pianist. Her passion for sharing music began early as she worked as a coach with local drumlines and it continues as she works with various choirs and ensembles.

Tauvia Eggebroten has performed throughout the Pacific Northwest with a desire to give back to the community that has served her well. She recently conducted the Bellarmine Preparatory School choirs and worked alongside Francisco Nuñez in Benaroya Hall for the Catholic Choir Festival in February, 2024. She currently teaches private studio lessons for students from ages 7-60, with a focus on finding joy and freedom through musical expression.

In working with students, Tauvia hopes to help them navigate their creative landscapes and learn to use classical techniques to express the nuances of human life.
