In a world fraught with social, political, and cultural divisiveness, how can we address potential barriers to sharing conservation knowledge? This talk will offer real-world examples of science communication to briefly examine common pitfalls and best practices for successfully connecting with your audience. The presentation will include a brief lecture, interactive conversations, and a Q & A session. Elizabeth Mackey is the NW Cascades Project Manager for Trout Unlimited. Elizabeth has over 13 years of experience in the fields of stream restoration, fisheries science, and conservation. In addition to her scientific expertise, Elizabeth’s work is focused on environmental education, science communications, and equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice in the outdoors. Elizabeth lives in Tacoma, WA with her partner and beloved dog, Toby. Location Contact Information Alex Bude abude@pugetsound.edu support@kwallcompany.com America/Los_Angeles public
