Lunch Concert: THE PLAYTONICS
Celebrating the opening of the new school year is the 5 piece jazzy soul pop band “Playtonics” that was born in 2018 has blossomed 5 years later into a sometimes 8 or 9 piece jazzy jam band with a horn section. They are friends who unpack universal thoughts of love & life in their music and share an appreciation of jazz and funk. KNKX's Paige Hansen (keys/lead vocals,) Tom Hume (drums/vocals,) Denny Foreman (guitar/vocals,) Brady McCowan (sax/vocals/drums/music direction UPS'15) Danielle Westbrook (trumpet/vocals,) Stephanie Jones (bass/vocals,) Ashish Meloottu (trombone/percussion,) John Studamire (bass,) Maureese Itson (sax,) D’Vonne Lewis (drums,) Jade Monroe (backing vocals/percussion) and Mac Hansen (keys) pitch into the thrilling mayhem that is Playtonics.
