Mini Maestros: Once Upon a String

"Once Upon a String" is a family-friendly, interactive music concert featuring Symphony Tacoma's String Quintet and Shay Ray, emcee.    Travel with the symphony's string quintet to a land far, far away during a fantasy-filled introduction to the instruments in the string family! Emcee, Shay Ryan, will introduce each instrument and explore musical concepts with Symphony Tacoma musicians who will demonstrate and play popular classical music, songs from favorite movies, and children's tunes that will have the whole audience singing, smiling, dancing, and clapping along.  Come early to participate in the instrument petting zoo at 1:30 p.m. in Schneebeck Concert Hall. The Community Music Department partners with Symphony Tacoma to present this concert as part of the Mini Maestros series for children ages 2-8 years old and their families. "Once Upon a String" is a family-friendly, interactive music concert featuring Symphony Tacoma's String Quintet and Shay Ray, emcee.
