Nano Day Celebration: Transmission Electron Microscope Open House
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry invites the campus and the community to a Chemistry Nano Day celebration and open house to see our brand-new transmission electron microscope (TEM) housed in the Science Core. Join us anytime between 4–6 p.m. to see the TEM, get a chance to look at cool samples with the microscope, and enjoy Nano-themed snacks, demos, and hands-on activities to welcome the TEM to campus.
National Nanotechnology Day is an annual event featuring community-led events and activities on or around October 9 to help raise awareness of nanotechnology as well as the challenges and opportunities for its use in the future. The date, Oct. 9, pays homage to the nanometer scale, 10 –9 meters.
