Tacoma Green Day

Join Sustainability Services on Saturday, October 8th from 8:30 am to about 12:30pm for Green Tacoma Day! We will be working with the Green Tacoma Partnership in order to get outside, have fun and engage in Tacoma’s natural areas. Access to healthy parks and urban spaces is vital to our quality of life because they improve our air quality, provide important habitat, keep us cool and provide countless mental health benefits. Volunteers will plant trees, remove invasive weeds, connect with the community, and provide a helping hand to our green spaces. They are offering 13 different restoration projects around the Tacoma area for community members to be able to aid in maintaining their communities as well as others!
