Park program: Keynote Speaker: Dr. Lorna Hernandez Jarvis - Vice President for Institutional Equity and Diversity at the University of Puget Sound With Performances by: Soon Cho - Mezzo Soprano lead role as Mrs. May from the 2023 Tacoma Method opera & Ivy Zhou - Soprano as the character of Mrs. Lee from the 2023 Tacoma Method opera Organized by The Chinese Reconciliation Project Foundation, co-sponsored by University of Puget Sound and other community organizations, this free, public, outdoor event will reverse the walking route of the expulsion of the Chinese community from Tacoma in 1885, reclaiming the city for all peoples and cultures during this current era of racist violence against Asians, African Americans, Native Americans and other peoples of color.  Puget Sound students interested in volunteering, please contact Prof. Perry at the Asian Studies Program, perry@pugetsound.edu.
