Intro to Music Production is a hands-on, workshop style course that delves into contemporary music making and will provide a fundamental understanding of music production and songwriting technology. During this six week course, students will develop skills using their laptop computer and the free tools available online. They will learn about digital production techniques employed by professional music producers including methods for using sample-based music, synthesis-based music, and song structure analysis - with a goal of fostering one’s own creativity and building skills in the use of music technology.

This course is open to members of the public and to the campus community.  No previous musical experience is required.

This is a non-credit, community course and is not part of a degree program.
