Can you believe that it has been 20 years since your time at Puget Sound? No doubt the memories you cherish make it feel like it was just yesterday!
What are some of your favorite memories of your time at Puget Sound?
Fond memories of Freshman Orientation at camp and swimming in the Puget Sound for the first time! Rushing for Kappa Alpha Theta and meeting so many wonderful women. Performing & designing the costumes for Cabaret at Norton Clapp. Doing karaoke with my friend Brittany in the rotunda. Swing dancing in the Wheelock Student Center. Feeling the Nisqually Earthquake from the basement level of the Admin building by the Post Office and having the Postmistress grab me and pull me into the doorway after standing transfixed watching the floorboards roll in a wave down the hallway. – Megan Chenovick `02
Just the amazing people all around, especially my time working with Security Services – Damon Sage `02
Playing drums in campus band The Funk If I Know, parties at Sigma Nu, campus cultural events. – Shawn Bayer `02
Friends, getting outside and exploring small classes, and great professors. – Michelle Kinkade `02
Who were your favorite Puget Sound faculty and/or staff? What made them your favorite?
Dr. Lawrence Ebert was a notoriously gruff music theory professor with a slew of infamous one-liners. If you earned praise from Dr. Ebert you were really on the right track. Also loved Dr. Geoffrey Block in music history. His passion for the subject matter made the class so fun! – Megan Chenovick `02
Brian Tomasovich, Dan White, Hans Ostrom, Keith James, and Martin Kingston. They were all relatable and true experts in their subject matter. – Eric Mueller `02
Amy Putnam - amazing percussion instructor. Dr. Keith Ward - wonderful advisor and Director of the Music School. Serni Solidarios - an ally to all students, big heart, best smile on campus. Dr. Lawrence Ebert - wholly committed to teaching music. – Shawn Bayer `02
Barry Goldstein - taking us trekking on Mt. Rainer for geology class; Alternative medicine class (I can't recall the professor at the moment). Cathy Hale, my advisor helping encourage and support me through undergrad classes. - Michelle Kinkade `02
