Dear Students,
Welcome back! I hope that you had a happy and restful break and that your spring semester is off to a good start.
We hope ALL students will consider using the next few weeks to strategically consider how you want to academically engage this semester. There are many things you can take initiative on – forming or participating in study groups; connecting with your instructors and your peer advisor; working on time management; and accessing the resources attached to this email. In addition, the stresses and challenges caused by the pandemic will continue to add strain on top of the more regular struggles we face in life and during college. Please take care of yourselves, be kind to one another, and remember these and other campus resources are here for YOU!
Puget Sound offers a lifetime community of friends who are an important part of your college experience now and for years to come. I hope your return to campus has been a smooth one and I look forward to seeing you during the course of this semester. We have provided for you a resource page that has many answers to your questions, clickable links to take you to resources, and the Division of Student Affairs office and outreach hours. If we in Student Affairs or the Academic Division can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to be in touch at dos@pugetsound.edu or 253.879.3360.
And remember: Once a Logger…Always a Logger!
My best wishes to you,
Uchenna Baker, Ph.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students.
