On Thursday, Oct. 19, distinguished speaker and scholar-practitioner Ann Holmes Redding will present at the Swope Endowed Lectureship on Ethics, Religion, Faith, & Values. Redding has a Ph.D. in the New Testament from Union Theological Seminary. She is known for fostering interreligious and interspiritual collaboration, promoting peace, justice, and sustaining human life. Redding will present “What’s Jesus Got to Do With It? Anticipating the Demise of Cultural Christianity,” followed by a Q&A session.

The Swope Lecture Series was created by Major Ianthe Swope as a tribute to her mother, Jane Hammer Swope. This series invites renowned guest speakers, such as Redding, to Puget Sound with the goal of promoting critical thinking, ethical inquiry, and discussions on faith, ethics, values, and religion.
