Dear Campus Community,

It is with both deep appreciation and sadness that I announce the upcoming retirement of Athletic Director Amy Hackett, effective this December. With 21 years of service, Amy is the longest-serving athletic director of the combined men's and women's program at Logger athletics.

Under Amy's exceptional leadership, our athletic program has flourished. She has overseen 23 varsity teams, involving nearly a third of our student body, and has been instrumental in guiding our transition to NCAA Division III. Her dedication to our student-athletes and her tireless efforts to enhance their competitive opportunities have been invaluable.

During her tenure, our Logger teams have achieved remarkable success, capturing 36 Northwest Conference titles and competing in more than 110 NCAA championships. We are proud to be one of only four NWC schools to have earned multiple McIlroy-Lewis All Sports Trophy honors. Amy's stalwart support for our student-athletes has created a thriving environment that fosters athletic and academic excellence and personal growth.

Beyond the wins and losses, Amy's legacy is defined by her commitment to the holistic development of our student-athletes. She has successfully established two major endowments to support their academic and athletic pursuits, and our athletic program boasts an impressive federal graduation rate well above the national average.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to Amy for her extraordinary contributions to our university. Her vision, leadership, and dedication have had a profound impact on our athletic program and the Logger community. We wish her all the best in her retirement.

Additional information regarding the search for a new athletic director will be available in the coming weeks. To honor Amy's contributions, we will be hosting a late-semester celebration in her honor. The date and details will be announced soon. In the meantime, I encourage you to join me in celebrating Amy's remarkable career and thanking her for her service to our university.
