Dear faculty and staff,

I am writing to share that invitations for our chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) will be sent to eligible students in the coming weeks. These invitations typically bring questions, so this email is intended to provide awareness of the organization and support you in answering any student inquiries.

What is The National Society of Leadership and Success?
The NSLS is the largest and only accredited leadership honor society in the nation, with more than 800 chapters and over 1.9 million members. With a flexible online curriculum, the NSLS is perfect for all students, especially those who are balancing full course loads, jobs, internships, and co-curricular activities.

The NSLS aligns with Puget Sound’s mission of preparing students to be engaged citizens and effective leaders for a changing world. Throughout the program, students hone valuable, in-demand skill sets that hiring managers specifically look for, including leadership, relationship-building, goal-setting, and effective communication.

Member Experience and Benefits
The Foundations of Leadership program takes approximately nine hours or less to complete at the students’ own pace. Here, they will get to experience Speaker Broadcasts, which bring high-profile leaders exclusively to members, including former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, Dr. Bernice King, Mark Cuban, and many others.

Beyond the leadership training, our members become part of a community of fellow leaders across the nation, where they’ll network and make lifelong connections. On top of the skills they learn and connections they make, NSLS membership provides access to over $400,000 in scholarships each year, along with many partner discounts to help them save even more.

Once students complete the program, they become inducted members and gain access to more benefits, including personalized letters of recommendation, an exclusive NSLS job board, additional scholarships, and opportunities for advanced leadership education.
