Adjunct Faculty, Public Health
Kevin Lee is an adjunct faculty member in the school of Public Health. He teaches courses focusing on research design and data analyses. His research interests focus primarily on social relationships among chimpanzees at Ngogo, Kibale National Park, in western Uganda. Chimpanzees have complex social lives, with highly differentiated relationships such that individuals are more likely to associate and interact affiliatively with specific preferred partners, in much the same way that humans have close friendships. Kevin investigates the evolution of sociality in the hominin lineage by examining potential costs and benefits of these differentiated relationships through detailed behavioral observations and analyses of biomarkers from non-invasively collected samples. Kevin received his PhD in Evolutionary Anthropology from Arizona State University, and his BSc in Psychology from Brown University.
