Adjunct Professor, Art & Art History
Sophie Loubere is an interdisciplinary artist and educator in the Puget Sound region. Her work is rooted in research with a focus on printmaking, handmade paper, and alternative photography. She weaves these processes together to create deeply researched installation experiences that engage all the senses.
Loubere is an award-winning artist who has exhibited throughout the US, including Seattle, Providence, Madison, and Atlanta. Most recently, she received a Grant for Artist’s Progress (GAP) from Artist Trust. She has taught classes, workshops, and led demos at the Pacific Northwest School of Art, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Gage Academy of Art, Editions Studio, and Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.
