Through our minor in Education Studies, you’ll benefit from a broad, deep understanding of the liberal arts. Designed for students who want to go into the education field, our minor introduces students to a social justice informed approach to education and offers experiential learning opportunities in local classroom settings.
With our 4+1 pathway, Puget Sound students earn a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a Washington state residency teacher certification in just five years. Our MAT program uses a reflective, collaborative, and justice-oriented approach to prepare future teachers to creative productive, inclusive learning environments through hands-on learning and classroom placements.
Puget Sound’s MEd program in Counseling equips students for a fulfilling and impactful career as a school counselor or mental health counselor. This five-semester program provides students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills through collaboration, mentorship, and individual counseling placements. An accelerated course of study is available for strong Puget Sound graduates who contact the program early in their undergraduate education.
