Identity Day
Every year ASUPS hosts LogJam, a two-day event during the first week of school bringing together students, faculty, staff, and community members to have fun, enjoy the end-of-summer weather, and be together with one another.
Identity Day is Thursday, August 31 from 5–8 p.m. and takes place on Todd Field. This evening will be an opportunity for Identity-based Club student leaders to introduce themselves to the campus community. Identity Day will be filled with activities such as plant potting, a hatchet toss, and food trucks. There will also be a live performance from Tulengua, an up-and-coming bilingual, binational, and multiracial hip-hop group. They have a unique synergy of sounds that we look forward to welcoming to campus.
Clubs and Activities Day takes place the next day on Friday, September 1 in Jones Circle where clubs will table and students will get the chance to discover all the different ways to be involved on campus. There will be live performances from Jam It Acapella and RDG (Repertory Dance Group), as well as a live marching band. The evening and event will close out with an outdoor movie in Jones Circle.
