ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Hrishikesh Hirway is an award-winning musician and podcast creator, best known as the host and creator of Song Exploder—the acclaimed podcast and Netflix series that has won multiple Webbys, iHeartRadio, and Quartz awards. He also co-created hit podcasts like The West Wing Weekly and Home Cooking, and was named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business. A sought-after voice on creativity, he’s contributed to CBS Sunday Morning and delivered a TED Talk with over 3 million views. His collaborations span from composing film scores to working with Yo-Yo Ma.

ABOUT THE PIERCE LECTURE SERIES:
Established in 2002 to honor President Emerita Susan Resneck Pierce, this series brings leading thinkers to campus to address pressing issues in public affairs and the arts. This year’s lecture was developed with faculty collaborators in AI and Human Values—thank you to America Chambers, Mare Hirsch, Suzanne Holland, Robin Jacobson, Siddharth Ramakrishnan, Justin Tiehen, and Ariela Tubert for their contributions.
