Peer advisors support advisees with important issues, such as:
- Navigating college-level academic expectations and demands
- Effective communication when working with university professors
- Navigating the ins and outs of registration and the software used to register
- Short and long-term academic planning, including exploring and/or planning a major/minor (4 year plans)
- Provide feedback about course offerings, study abroad, experiential learning and more
- Developing self-advocacy
- Strategies and resources for navigating periods of academic difficulty
- Understanding advising reports, what-if reports, and degree snapshots
- All things residence related; they have been in your shoes!
