Dear Members of the Campus Community,

Please join me in welcoming Matt Boyce, Ph.D., who joins us today as Puget Sound’s new vice president for enrollment. Matt’s appointment was announced in January following an extensive national search, and he has been in regular contact with me and our enrollment leadership team throughout the spring to prepare for a smooth transition from George Mason University to Puget Sound.

We are excited to have him here in Tacoma with us, although for the time being most of us will meet and work with him virtually until we are able to more fully return to campus in accordance with public health guidelines. In anticipation of that happy day, we will schedule a campus reception for Matt in the fall. Meanwhile, Matt and our admission colleagues are in the process of moving into the new Welcome center, and despite the challenges imposed by the coronavirus pandemic, are continuing their good work along with colleagues in Student Financial Services to support our prospective and admitted students.

I am deeply appreciative of the outstanding work of our enrollment colleagues over this past year in very challenging circumstances, and particularly grateful to Associate Vice President for Admission Shannon Carr for her leadership and many contributions as interim vice president of enrollment during a most extraordinary time. I know the campus community is eager for details on our incoming class, and we will have more information to share in the coming days.

Sincerely,

Isiaah
