Dear Faculty and Staff,

Thank you for your input regarding the selection of a consulting firm to assist us with the comprehensive academic, administrative and auxiliary program review process that will shortly be under way. I appreciate participation by the leadership of our Faculty Senate and Staff Senate in providing feedback on consulting firm responses to our request for proposals, the thoughtful participation of those who attended open sessions to hear from our finalist firms, and the strong recommendations of our faculty and staff leadership and others in nominating colleagues to serve on the steering committee that will guide this work.

After considering your feedback—and in consultation with both Provost Laura Behling, who will chair the committee, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Sherry Mondou, who will partner with her—Stevens Strategy has been selected to facilitate our work in an advisory capacity. They will guide us through a process to identify institutional strengths, challenges and needs, and to align our resources to best support our mission, strategic goals, and a strong and successful future for Puget Sound. The recommendations and decisions that we make will be our own, and we are counting on the participation, insight and wisdom of our campus community throughout this process.

In the coming days I will assemble the steering committee, and will follow up with appointments and next steps soon.

Sincerely,

Isiaah
