Additional Bonus Day on Dec. 23, 2024

Dear Colleagues,

As we approach our upcoming winter break, I am pleased to share that I have approved an additional campus bonus day on Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, in recognition of your steadfast and dedicated work throughout the year. I hope this additional paid day off will offer an opportunity for rest and rejuvenation.

While the holiday pay policy applies only to staff, we are including faculty on this message to ensure faculty who supervise staff are aware of this change and associated details. As a reminder, the university's staff Holiday Pay Policy outlines staff eligibility for bonus day pay. Hourly staff who are required to work on Dec. 23 to provide essential services will receive time-and-a-half for hours worked.

Departments that require exempt staff to work on Dec. 23 to maintain essential functions are welcome to contact Human Resources at hr@pugetsound.edu with any questions about flexing schedules.
