Dear Members of the Campus Community,
Today we observe Veterans Day, a time to honor the service and sacrifice of those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Veterans across generations have upheld the ideals of our nation through their dedication and bravery, ensuring the freedoms we hold dear.
At Puget Sound, we are fortunate to have veterans among our students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Each of you enriches our community and contributes to the fabric of our campus, reminding us of the selflessness and dedication embodied in a life of service.
To honor these individuals, the Center for Student Support is hosting a Veterans Day luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Tahoma Room at Thomas Hall. This event is open to all faculty, staff, and students who are veterans, currently enlisted, or are from military families. Invitations have previously been sent from Student Affairs to these members of the campus community, and we want to remind you to please RSVP to Eric Hetland, Director of Student Support, at ehetland@pugetsound.edu today and let him know of any dietary restrictions or needs. We hope you can attend.
To our veterans, thank you for your service. Your contributions—both to our nation and the university—are appreciated and shall never be forgotten.
Sincerely,
Isiaah Crawford, Ph.D. | President
