The division of General Counsel and Risk Management oversees risk management functions for the university. Activities in compliance and risk management are designed to identify, report, and/or assist the university in addressing strategic, operational, and compliance risks across the enterprise and identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk at the enterprise level.
The division, through its Chief Risk Management Officer, works with campus units in a proactive fashion, helping to identify and assess the risks that are specific to them, and determining the most responsible and cost-effective solutions to manage these risks.
