Please join panelists for a public forum that shares stories behind successful leaders in advocating Asian American voices and engages students and the community in a deeper discussion on diversity and inclusion, particularly in light of the recent surge of anti-AAPI hate, violence, and racism.

What do consultants do? What does a career in economic consulting look like? How does studying economics prepare you for a successful career in consulting?

Join us on Thursday, Sept. 22 (4-5 p.m.) as we welcome Emily Davis (’20) and Julian Bieganski (’21) from Grant Thornton LLP to discuss careers in economic consulting, share how their Puget Sound experience shaped their career path, and answer any questions you might have about what they do!

Join poet and University of Puget Sound Librarian, Wendy Lee Spacek for a writing workshop based on the themes of the Tacoma Reads youth selection We Belong by Collie Hiponia.  During the workshop, you will be guided through a series of writing exercises to mine your personal mythology (family lore, cultural traditions/heritage) in order to write your own poetic origin story.  Please register in advance.  For teens and adults.
