The World Through Abby’s Eyes, is about the nuanced life of women in the American West in the early twentieth century. The focal point of the exhibit will be Tacoma resident Abby Williams Hill (1861-1943).

Community Music Student Recital

Join us for a free music concert featuring solo and duet music performed by young children, teens, and adult musicians from the university's Community Music Department. You will hear a variety of music repertoire played on clarinets, flutes, violins, and piano.   

Admission to this public concert is free. No tickets required.

Grizz's Winter Bash

Horse carriages, massage therapists, holiday dance band music, a cappella performances, free pizza, plus Birthday cakes for all born in December (and their friends)... All for Free, as ASUPS and Student Involvement & Programs present the annual Grizz's Winter Bash. Drop by Wheelock anytime between 7 and 10 p.m. and celebrate the last day of classes. 

Annual Bethel Schneebeck Organ Recital

Join us for the 33rd annual recital concert honoring Bethel Schneebeck, Puget Sound parent, grandparent, and long-time community leader. The Fritts organ in Kilworth Memorial Chapel is named after Mrs. Schneebeck, who was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Arts degree in 1982. 

Organist Wyatt Smith will be performing works by Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra and Matthias Weckmann. 

All are invited to a reception following the program in the Kilworth Memorial Chapel basement.

 

Lecture: CJ Pascoe

Author, sociologist, and educator, CJ Pascoe is a sociologist who studies young people, and is an associate professor of sociology at the University of Oregon. Her latest book, "Nice is Not Enough: Inequality and the Limits of Kindness at American High", is currently available for preorder. Other books include "Gender Replay, "Dude You're a Fag", "Hanging Out, Messing Around and Geeking Out", and "Exploring Masculinities".

Arts Audience Symposium (BUS 380)

Learn how to grow your arts audience with innovative ideas from creating video content to pop-up shows to creating more social, interactive experiences. Students will present their audience-related feasibility studies for the Blue Mouse Theater, Foss Waterway Seaport, Museum of Glass, Northwest Sinfonietta, Puget Sound Book Artists, WayOut Kids, and Youth Riot Records. Community partner organizations will receive their printed feasibility studies at the symposium. Refreshments provided.

A Night with Jazz Strings

An evening performance from Jazz Strings opened by the 4 Jazz Trumpets with hot chocolate and cookies, and information about Jazz Strings available. All are welcome to stop by.
