The Phi Sigma Biological Sciences Honor Society was founded at Ohio State University in 1915. We are a national organization devoted to the promotion of research and academic excellence in the biological sciences. The Puget Sound chapter, Alpha Phi, was chartered in 1948 by noted Puget Sound biologists including James R. Slater and Gordon D. Alcorn. Phi Sigma members participate in activities such as volunteering, social events, tutoring, and an annual research symposium.
Hi everyone! My name is Chloe (she/her) and I’m from the Los Angeles area. I am a junior on the pre-med track majoring in Molecular & Cellular Biology double minoring in Bioethics and Biophysics. I hope that one day I will heal and help patients understand how their bodies work! Outside of Phi Sigma, I work for the students and faculties of the School of Occupational Therapy on our campus and I am one of the RCC of Smith Hall. In my free time, I volunteer at Tacoma General Hospital through COPE and attend the Asian Student Community meetings. This summer I got to work as a Chemistry Storeroom Assistant and visit my family in South Korea! I love going on hikes, kayaking, watching movies, seeing live performances, and exploring cute cafes. As president, I am so excited to help support Phi Sigma members and to work alongside my amazing exec team! Super pumped to work with you all!
