What Does the P2PH Program Offer?
Become Part of the MPH Family
As a P2PH participant, you will be welcomed into the MPH Program family. This means you'll have the unique opportunity to build connections and relationships with current MPH students and faculty. You can also access a wealth of faculty knowledge as you work on your undergraduate papers, research, and senior theses.
Public Health Student Association (PHSA) Affiliate Membership
You'll automatically become an affiliate member of the PHSA, allowing you to network with peers who share your passion for public health, attend exclusive events, and gain insights from guest speakers and public health professionals.
Attend MPH Events and Classes
Get a taste of graduate-level education by being invited to all MPH events and sitting in on classes. This exposure will give you a head start in understanding the curriculum and expectations of the MPH program.
Engage in Research with the Health Equity Research Lab (HERL)
Participate in the HERL and get involved in meaningful public health research projects. This hands-on experience will not only enhance your resume, but also deepen your understanding of health equity issues and research methodologies.
Guaranteed Admission to the Puget Sound MPH Program
Participation in the P2PH Program for a minimum of one academic year may ensure your spot in the Puget Sound MPH program by meeting the following criteria:
- Maintain an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.3
- Provide the name of one Puget Sound faculty member as a reference
- Have a "greeting meeting" with a member of the MPH faculty
