Loggers Keep Learning Alumni Tours

May 22 – June 1, 2023

Join Professor Brett M. Rogers from Puget Sound's Greek, Latin, and Ancient Mediterranean Studies Department for a guided tour through Greece's ancient marvels, museums, and scenic landscapes. Meet your fellow alumni on the beautiful island of Santorini, study the ruins of ancient temples and theaters, enjoy local delicacies, explore the city of Athens, and much more!

TRIP DETAILS

  • Group size: minimum 15 participants (space is limited)
  • Activity level: moderate 
  • Price: $3,950* (double occupancy) for ten nights at 4- and 5-star hotels + airfare (not included). For single occupancy, add $930.
  • Alumni participants may also sign up family members as participants (must be at least 18 years old to attend).
  • Non-refundable deposit of $500 per person must be received by Wednesday, Mar. 1, 2023, to ensure your spot.
  • Final Payment due by Monday, March 20, 2023.

Itinerary

  • May 22: Meet your fellow alumni (and family) on the iconic island of Santorini.
  • May 23: Visit the Minoan site of Akrotiri, then relax on Santorini’s stunning beaches.
  • May 24: Free time on Santorini, then a boat ride to the island of Crete for a farm-to-table dinner.
  • May 25: Visit the Minoan palace at Knossos, then swim near the Roman honeycomb caves of Matala.
  • May 26: Flight to Athens and view ancient artifacts at the National Archaeological Museum.
  • May 27: Visit the Akropolis, Areopagos, Theater of Dionysos, and the new Akropolis Museum.
  • May 28: Day trip to the ancient palace of Mycenae (home of mythic Agamemnon), lunch at Nafplio, and then on to the Theater at Epidauros.
  • May 29: Visit the Athenian Agora and Agora Museum to learn about the day-to-day workings of an ancient democracy.
  • May 30: Day trip to Delphi, mountain home of the Delphic Oracle, and the Museum at Delphi.
  • May 31: Free time in Athens, followed by a sunset trip to Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon.
  • June 1: Departure from Athens.
