See how a simple project filled a need and is now crossing the digital divide to serve prospective students and families online.
The Need
Our admission colleagues asked for something tangible to share with prospective students and families during school visits, college fairs, and one-on-one visits in order to provide information about our academic programs and areas of study.
Our Solution
We worked with each academic department to create one-sheet handouts with a consistent look and layout and standard information, including a brief introduction to the nature of the program, a look at how experiential learning opportunities extend the boundaries of the classroom, and a few words about how graduates who chose the program are putting their studies to use in their postgraduate work and careers.

Results
Currently, every academic department and program has a one-sheet, available through the Office of Admission on campus and at admission events, such as Discover Puget Sound days, high school visits, and more. In addition, the popularity and success of the one-sheets influenced and informed our content curation on externally facing academic program landing pages on the university website.
Put It Into Practice
One-sheets are a great tool to give your audience an easy way to see and compare a lot of information at a glance. If you have similar courses, groups, activities—or anything, really—and want to help your audience grasp the basics, while also seeing what differentiates them, a series of one-sheets may be a good option.
