An academic peer advisor (PA) is a sophomore, junior, or senior PS student, employed by the Office of Academic Advising. They undergo rigorous training in August before our new students arrive, ready to begin their year long journey to support our newest Loggers.
They are highly knowledgeable peers, who help you interpret university policies and procedures, offer tips when exploring possible majors/minors, keep you informed about important campus deadlines and events, and are invaluable when it comes to selecting courses during registration and offering first hand tips navigating your first year of college.
Overall, your peer advisor is your fellow student success coach ready to help you work smarter, not harder. You can also count on your PA to be a caring and friendly face on campus who knows how to do college!
READ our 24-25 PA Performance Report summarizing the deep and positive impact our most recent PA team have had on our current first-year Loggers! The data speaks for itself...as do the selection of quotes from these first-year students.
Peer advisors make a difference!
