Since our founding in 1888, University of Puget Sound has been home to a diverse community of talented individuals who challenge themselves to experience new perspectives and to discover new knowledge. We are a community of teachers, students, learners, and leaders who want to make a positive and lasting impact on our world.
We have been growing, changing, and progressing for more than a century and we’ve developed a unique approach to liberal arts and sciences education. Throughout that time, we have developed a fortitude and commitment to our shared purpose: to unlock the fullest potential of each member of our community and pursue purpose and impact.
As we look ahead, we are aiming even higher for the next hundred years. To continue to serve our mission and bring us to new heights, we will again grow, change, and progress as we undertake a transformation and implement A Sound Future: Response, Recovery, and Renewal. We are committed to this effort, and have all confidence in our faculty, staff, and students continuing to work meaningfully together for the university’s sound future.
