University of Puget Sound, a leading national liberal arts and sciences university, believes that the best preparation for the future is an education that exposes students to multiple perspectives, engages them in work that makes a difference in the world, and helps them discover who they are and what they have to offer. Like many institutions, the university has evolved over time in order to meet the opportunities of each generation of students and to capitalize on the evolving strengths and expertise of talented faculty and staff.

So that Puget Sound continues to thrive, the university is focused on the vital work of reviewing its academic, administrative, and auxiliary programs to ensure it is most effectively meeting the moment and the future in higher education. This work will enhance Puget Sound’s educational mission and support achieving the goals of the university’s strategic plan, Leadership for a Changing World.  The comprehensive academic, administrative, and auxiliary program review began in Spring 2021 and continues through Fall 2022, when the steering committee composed of faculty, staff, students, and representatives from the board of trustees and alumni body delivers its recommendations to the president.
