Dear Campus Community,
We're excited to announce upcoming updates to the university website. These changes, developed in collaboration with the web performance firm ImageX, are designed to enhance the user experience and make navigating our online presence smoother for everyone.
Content managers have already received a separate email regarding the website updates. Training opportunities will be provided near launch to ensure a smooth transition. If you're a content manager and didn’t receive an email, please contact Barbara Weist at bweist@pugetsound.edu.
What to Expect
To get a sneak peek at the most noticeable changes, please visit the website updates page, detailing the updates.
Launch Timeline
The new website will be launched in late September. In the days following the launch, the web team will prioritize and implement content updates based on the new code changes. This includes tasks like moving contact information to its new location.
With more than 10,000 pages, not every page will receive immediate attention in the days following the launch. However, content editors will be empowered to make edits on their own once the new website is live.
Need Help?
To familiarize yourself with the updated website and its functionalities, we highly recommend attending one of our virtual training workshops:
- Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. (Zoom link)
- Thursday, Sept. 19 at 10:30 a.m. (Zoom link)
- Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. (Zoom link)
You can also submit website edits through the Project Request form. Our web team will be happy to handle the updates for you. Please note that due to the volume of requests and the complexity of some changes, it may take some time for the web team to address your request. If you need updates made quickly, it's recommended to contact your department’s content editor directly.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this exciting time. We're confident the revamped website will better serve our entire university community.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Harrison ’01 | Interim-Associate Vice President for Marketing & Communications and AVP for University Relations
