Sound Writing was published online in December 2019 with a Creative Commons open license. Though Sound Writing grows out of the particular local needs of students and faculty members at the University of Puget Sound, the Creative Commons license facilitates other campuses in adapting it to their own local needs, particularly useful in settings where access to information is restricted or where resources for textbooks are limited.
