Be Sure To Remember...
Before saying "yes" to a graduate program, consider carefully whether your personal and professional needs will be meet by asking such questions as (1) what percentage of graduates secure employment, (2) do graduates find employment in their profession or field, and (3) how many students complete their degree within a reasonable amount of time. You may also want to consider deferring your enrollment for a year if you need more time to self-assess or research other opportunities.
Don't Forget...
- Call admission offices to make sure your files are complete
- If you're able, visit schools that accept you to meet with students and faculty to understand the program and university better.
- Notify the schools you applied to, but will not be attending, of your decision.
