Start your journey with a warm welcome dinner after settling into your accommodations in the heart of Amsterdam. Get to know your fellow travelers and program leaders before diving into two weeks of exploration and learning.
Explore Amsterdam
From the historic Anne Frank House to the cutting-edge EYE Film Institute, discover Amsterdam’s rich history and dynamic culture. You’ll also have free time to explore world-class museums, cozy cafes, and lively markets.
Visit The Hague
Take a day trip to The Hague, the city of peace and justice, where you’ll visit the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. See where global leaders make decisions that impact the world.
Overnight in Brussels
Hop on a bus to Brussels for an overnight adventure! Visit NATO headquarters, explore the EU Parliament, and enjoy a group lunch with views of this beautiful city’s stunning architecture.
Classroom Sessions with a Twist
Learn in a whole new way with interactive classroom sessions at the IES center in Amsterdam. Discuss topics like immigration and national politics in the morning, then see those concepts in action during site visits in the afternoon.

Program Details
Who Can Join?
This program is open to students enrolled in any one of the following spring semester courses:
- PG 321: European Political Systems
- PG 332: International Organizations
- PG 333: International Law in Political Context
Whether you’re an incoming first-year or a senior on the path to graduation, this program can be part of your Puget Sound experience!
When Does It Happen?
The program begins a week after spring semester 2025 final exams, just as summer kicks off. Perfect timing for a well-deserved break and a whole lot of adventure!
Earn Credits While You Travel
You’ll earn a .25 experiential learning credit that satisfies the graduation requirement—all while having an amazing time exploring Europe.
Location
Amsterdam, Netherlands, with a day trip to The Hague and an exciting overnight excursion to Brussels, Belgium.
