Incoming and Transfer Students
Incoming first-year students or transfer students interested in majoring in studio art or art history are eligible to apply for one of our $5,000 Department of Art and Art History scholarships. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years of full-time undergraduate study, subject to maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0, demonstrating distinctive achievement in art studies, and declaring a major in art. Selection will be made on the applicant’s potential for academic and artistic success and the merit of any materials submitted for review. The application deadline is January 15.

Current Students
The Department of Art and Art History awards various prizes and honors to recognize achievements in the studio art areas, juried student exhibitions and other occasions, and research writing in art history. The Offield Travel Fellowship facilitates the travel of studio art and art history majors to international destinations to experience art in person. Some scholarship aid is specifically reserved for art majors. These scholarships are awarded based on merit by the faculty.
Art History and Studio Art majors have been successful in receiving various university awards, including summer research grants and other scholarships.
