In Physics 322 students work independently on three experiments, each lasting roughly one month. In addition to keeping a detailed lab notebook, one written report and one oral presentation are required by the end of the term. Recent projects include the following:
- Cavendish Balance
- Black Body Radiation
- Brownian Motion
- X-ray Diffraction
- Surface Plasmon Resonances
- Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry
- Thermoelectric Effect
- Faraday Effect
- Helium-Neon Laser Modes
